Dr. Monica Stevens - Principal
Dr. Monica Stevens is proud to serve as the Principal at San Carlos Park Elementary. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Gulf Coast University. She completed Doctorate in Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida. Throughout her career, Dr. Stevens taught elementary and middle school. Before moving into administration, she also served as an academic coach and a Teacher Leader.
Outside of school, Dr. Stevens enjoys kayaking, camping, gardening, anything outdoors. Dr. Stevens strives to help every student succeed. She is looking forward to a great year and working with the students, families, and staff at San Carlos Park Elementary.
Mrs. Tara Bode - Assistant Principal
Mrs. Bode is honored to be the Assistant Principal at San Carlos Park Elementary School. She was born in Ft. Myers and grew up in Bonita Springs where her family has lived since 1969. Mrs. Bode is a proud graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education: Biology Concentration and the American College of Education where she earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, Mrs. Bode taught multiple high school life science classes in Collier County for 12 years. She has been an Assistant Principal in Lee County since 2013. Mrs. Bode loves working with the incredible teachers and staff at San Carlos Park Elementary and is excited to see our students learn and grow while accomplishing amazing things!
When not at school, Mrs. Bode loves spending time with her husband and grand-daughter. She likes to travel, hike and explore the great outdoors.
